My interest in creating what I call, "nursery art", came from when I was expecting the birth of my first child, Abby Rose. I chose the theme for her nursery to be classic Raggedy Ann and Andy. I always loved those dolls! I had collected some illustrations of the characters in an antique shop, and put them in beachwood frames. But they didn't quite go with my daughters nursery, so I painted the frames to match the illustration inside. Voila! I like them because they don't have to be just for children's rooms. You can put them anywhere you want a touch of whimsey. I sell my nursery art for $20 each.
